Amulet has been named as a supplier on Government Commercial Agency’s (GCA) Facilities Management and Security Services framework (RM6378).
GCA is the UK’s central commercial and procurement organisation, connecting public and private sectors to achieve the best outcomes for the UK and its citizens. GCA uses its commercial expertise to create a simpler procurement experience that redirects valuable resources into essential public services – creating value for the nation.
We have been appointed to Lot 4 (Security). Services delivered in this lot include security officers and guarding, CCTV monitoring, risk and threat assessments, and visitor and vehicle management.
As well as demonstrating our ability to deliver these services, we also had to meet mandatory service management criteria including performance monitoring, quality management, and workforce recruitment, training and performance. In addition, all security officers must hold valid SIA licences, be vetted to BPSS, and be capable of supporting higher clearances when required.
Social value was also one of the criteria we had to satisfy, and it maps closely to how the business already runs. We became employee-owned in August 2023, when a controlling interest was transferred to an Employee Ownership Trust through our parent company Churchill Group, held for the benefit of our people. That ownership model underpins a people-first culture, with frontline officers recognised through quarterly awards and the annual Amulets, and supported by mentorship and an employee assistance programme.
Kieran Mackie, our managing director, said:
“We’ve demonstrated time and again that we have the capacity, expertise and soft skills to deliver a range of security solutions. I’m delighted that we’ve been appointed to GCA’s framework and we’re all raring to go with the first project.”
