£14.30 per hour

HOURS:

50 hrs per week

THE ROLE:

The Security Supervisor will support the Duty Manager in overseeing the day-to-day security operations at our client site, a large, high-profile, and dynamic environment with extensive grounds, public interaction, and diverse operational demands.

The successful candidate must be capable of managing and motivating a team to deliver the highest standards of service, while maintaining a proactive approach to safety, security, and continuous improvement. Due to the nature and scale of the site, this role requires a confident individual with strong judgement, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively to both routine and emergencies.

A full UK manual driving licence is essential, as the role involves regular patrols across the site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To Supervise the daily security operation, ensuring all officers adhere to assignment Instructions and site procedures.
  • Support the Operations Manager and Duty Manager teams in the smooth running of the contract and overall site operations.
  • Manage and deploy staff effectively to ensure full coverage in line with contractual requirements.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the on-site security team to maintain high performance and service delivery.
  • Conduct regular mobile patrols across the site using a company vehicle, ensuring the safety and security of all areas.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of site-specific emergency procedures, including animal-related incidents, and respond appropriately.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to all visitors, staff, and contractors, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment.
  • Oversee CCTV systems and monitoring activities in line with SOPs and data protection requirements.
  • Respond to and manage incidents, ensuring correct escalation procedures are followed.
  • Communicate effectively with operational teams, ensuring all incidents and key information are accurately reported and logged.
  • Oversee and operate fire safety systems, ensuring compliance and that all team members are trained and competent.
  • Manage the security control room, including radios, telephones, and email communications.
  • Administer access control systems, including issuing and revoking passes in line with Joiner, Mover, and Leaver processes.
  • Produce high-quality written reports, including incident reports and daily occurrence logs.
  • Manage team rotas and annual leave requests in line with company policy to always ensure full coverage.
  • Ensure patrols, checks, and break schedules are completed as required.
  • Deliver on-site training and toolbox talks to maintain team competency and compliance.
  • Inspect and maintain security equipment, ensuring faults are reported and resolved promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records for keys, radios, and other security equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, escalating any concerns appropriately.
  • Always act as a professional ambassador for both Amulet and client site.

SKILLS:

  • Proven experience in a security supervisory or management role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience operating CCTV, fire systems, and access control systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to use multiple systems effectively.
  • Proactive, alert, and investigative mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organised and able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build strong professional relationships.
  • Ability to follow and enforce procedures consistently and effectively.
  • Full 5-year checkable employment history.

LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Front Line SIA Door Supervisor Licence
  • CCTV Licence
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
  • First Aid at Work Qualification (3-day course)

INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS:

  • Eligibility documents helpful to bring with you to interview: Passport or Full Birth Certificate; Utility Bill showing current address and dated within 3 months; Proof of National Insurance (Payslips cannot be used) such as NI card, P45, P60, benefits or HMRC letter.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • You must be able to provide a check-able 5-year employment history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods in receipt of benefits). Possession of a First Aid at Work Certificate is desirable.
