Security Officer

PAY RATE:

£12.60 per hour

HOURS:

20 hrs per week

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a dedicated security officer to join our team in Carlisle. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitors

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Open-up and lock-down of the College Buildings.
• Control of access and egress of college.
• Check student ID badges and assist students with queries.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies and calls for assistance
• To complete regular patrols of college and monitor car-parks.

SKILLS:

• Good Customer service skills,
• Good communication skills
• Strong observational and problem solving skills
• Flexible approach
• Previous experience of working within an educational environment, preferable.

LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• SIA Door Supervisor badge essential
• CCTV desirable
• First Aid Licence desirable.
• EDBS desirable

INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS:

• Eligibility documents helpful to bring with you to interview: Passport or Full Birth Certificate; Utility Bill showing current address and dated within 3 months; Proof of National Insurance (Payslips cannot be used) such as NI card, P45, P60, benefits or HMRC letter.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• You must be able to provide a check-able 5-year employment history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods in receipt of benefits). Possession of a First Aid at Work Certificate is desirable.
