£12.60 per hour
HOURS:
20 hrs per week
THE ROLE:
We are looking for a dedicated security officer to join our team in Carlisle. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitors
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Open-up and lock-down of the College Buildings.
- Control of access and egress of college.
- Check student ID badges and assist students with queries.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies and calls for assistance
- To complete regular patrols of college and monitor car-parks.
SKILLS:
- Good Customer service skills,
- Good communication skills
- Strong observational and problem solving skills
- Flexible approach
- Previous experience of working within an educational environment, preferable.
LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- SIA Door Supervisor badge essential
- CCTV desirable
- First Aid Licence desirable.
- EDBS desirable
INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS:
- Eligibility documents helpful to bring with you to interview: Passport or Full Birth Certificate; Utility Bill showing current address and dated within 3 months; Proof of National Insurance (Payslips cannot be used) such as NI card, P45, P60, benefits or HMRC letter.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- You must be able to provide a check-able 5-year employment history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods in receipt of benefits). Possession of a First Aid at Work Certificate is desirable.
