£14.48 per hour

WORKING PATTERN:

Mon-Fri, Days only 0700-1900

THE ROLE:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Amulet Security for a Front of House Security officer who will work at our client’s prestigious site in Leeds. As a security officer you will provide visible deterrence of criminal activity and misconduct, meet & greet and monitor entrances while also delivering exceptional customer service.

All successful candidates will need to be available to carry out the training prior to starting the role.
Will need to be flexible as covering the reception team during breaks

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide assistance and support to customers while ensuring a safe, welcoming, and secure environment for all.
  • Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Monitor and Patrol premises to ensure the safety and security of customers, staff and assets.
  • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
  • Conduct security checks on individuals and items entering the premises.
  • Supervise and control entry and exit points of the premises to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
  • Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorised persons.
  • Control access to the site, verifying identification and ensuring unauthorized individuals do not enter restricted areas.
  • De-escalate tense situations involving customers or staff, ensuring safety and order.
  • Operate security equipment, including surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems.
  • Conduct regular security checks, reporting any suspicious activities or potential threats.
  • Assist in managing crowd control during busy periods or special events.
  • Work closely with law enforcement and emergency response teams in case of incidents.
  • Maintain detailed records of security incidents, daily logs, and security reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, security regulations, and legal requirements.

SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in a security role
  • Strong observational and communicational skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Familiarity with security systems, CCTV, and emergency procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
  • Professional demeanor, with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in Reception duties will be ideal, including Visitor management systems

LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • You must have a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
  • Valid CCTV License
  • First Aid at work certificate
  • Security Clearance is desirable

INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS:

  • Eligibility documents needed at interview: Passport or Full Birth Certificate; Utility Bill showing current address and dated within 3 months; Proof of National Insurance (Payslips cannot be used) such as NI card, P45, P60, benefits or HMRC letter.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • You must be able to provide a checkable 5-year employment and address history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods when claiming benefits).
