42hrs per week 60hrs 1 week, 24hrs the next

THE ROLE:
A great opportunity has arisen for a Night Control Room Supervisor to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing the site activities withing the control room ensuring safety, security and smooth operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaise with Site Protection management and ensure that they are kept up to date with on-site activities and are supplied with the necessary operational information.
- Responsible for access into the control room and ensure that only authorised personnel gain access.
- Responsible for the security integrity of the control room and all client premises in accordance with agreed client procedures.
- Ensure that the control room is adequately manned at all times.
- Monitor all security, fire, alarm and access control systems and respond according to status as required.
- Monitor the CCTV and building management system for incidents and initiate any response required.
- Ensure that the GDPR regulations are adhered to in all respects of CCTV monitoring, recording and compliance.
- Manage team members, customer requests, escalations and complaints on site according to process.
- Ensuring all incidents are responded to in the correct manner and recorded according to process .
- Ensuring all assignment documentation is correctly compiled and distributed including the control room log and incident reports.
- Demonstrate the highest professional standards to ensure that team members follow their example.
- Dealing with any general enquiries efficiently and in an appropriate manner.
- Reporting all faults that arise which relate to the security systems or any security exposure that results from a system failure.
- Responsible for training standards of staff and refresher training of staff in department procedures and tasks to ensure effective service delivery.
- Ensuring all incidents are accurately recorded and reported to the correct persons, including matters which have an effect on the operational requirements of the contract or relating to discipline.
- Responsible for the effective manning of the Site Protection Officer positions including planning duty rosters, managing attendance and absenteeism, and monitoring image of Officers.
- Undertake all reasonable requests made by the Site Protection management team..
- Delivery of department projects as requested.
- Deliver safe operations at all times to ensure that team members are not at risk.
- To deliver the service level as per the department self-assessment document, the contract schedule including delivery of service level agreements and KPI’s.
- Lead the team operations in liaison with the leading officer to ensure that all services are delivered as required.
SKILLS:
- The successful candidate should ideally have comprehensive experience in a similar role and working in a control centre environment.
- Excellent IT skills and knowledge in use of spreadsheets, database, word processing and selected job specific software
- Discreet with high respect for confidentiality
- Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills due to the varying departmental interactions
- Ability to maintain effective work behaviour in the face of setbacks or pressure. Remains calm, stable and in control of themselves
- Ability to lead, manage and develop colleagues and build effective relationships, to unite, motivate and direct a team towards individual and common objectives
- Ability to demonstrate decision making skills with safety as a priority
- Ability to organise and plan effectively
- Knowledge of incident escalation procedures and what action to take under such conditions
- Knowledge of British Standards in relation to operating a control room and security guarding service
- Previous experience in using security access and fire safety systems.
LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- You must have a current SIA Licence.
- You must have a CCTV Licence
- Full driving licence required
INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS:
- Eligibility documents needed at interview: Passport or Full Birth Certificate; Utility Bill showing current address and dated within 3 months; Proof of National Insurance (Payslips cannot be used) such as NI card, P45, P60, benefits or HMRC letter.
