THE ROLE:
To provide high level HR support and advice in a challenging, fast paced and evolving environment. This role is within a medium sized HR Function, offering the opportunity to build upon their ER and wider HR experience, progress their career and gain extensive experience of the full HR function within a fast-paced commercial environment.
Reporting into the Head of HR, the HR Operations Partner is tasked with supporting the Operations Team, via effective communication, explanation and interpretation of policies and procedures coupled with integrated support with L&D and recruitment. The job holder’s impact and contribution is to the long‐term development of the HR function in particular during an initial period of change and development embedding the role within the designated business unit.
The Operations Partner supports and manages the people management related agenda in collaboration with the wider HR Team and the Operations Team within the business unit. Leads on change management projects and manages the HR related internal and external communication. Provides advice and guidance on complex ER issues within the business unit and will coach and support the Operations Team through to resolution. Supports, coaches and mentors the Operations Team with development plans for staff and succession planning within the teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as the HR contact for the managers in the business unit
- Proactively supports the delivery of HR Processes
- Manages complex and difficult HR Projects cross-functionally
- Provide comprehensive advice on Employee Relations matters; including legislation, policies and process.
- Builds a strong business relationship with the internal client
- Actively identifies gaps, proposes and implements changes necessary to cover risks
- Supports the recruitment of key talents for the internal client
- Advise, guide, coach, mentor and support Operational Managers along with addressing skills gaps and enabling mentoring opportunities
- Undertake and support with redundancy and TUPE activity across the business
- Maintain HR reporting tools, to enable data analysis.
- Acts as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes throughout the business unit
- Supports the implementation of succession plans for key talents and key job positions
- Challenges the organisational structure of the internal client and proposes changes
- Acts as the member of the HR Business Unit Management Team
SKILLS:
- Appropriate level of generalist and/or operational HR experience gained within a fast-moving, commercial organisation.

MUST HAVES:
- Able to travel to regional sites when required
- 5 years’ HR experience
- CIPD qualified (Level 5/7) is Desirable
INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS:
- Eligibility documents helpful to bring with you to interview: Passport or Full Birth Certificate; Utility Bill showing current address and dated within 3 months; Proof of National Insurance (Payslips cannot be used) such as NI card, P45, P60, benefits or HMRC letter.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- You must be able to provide a check-able 5-year employment history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods in receipt of benefits).
